Thomann Cyber Week – What should you grab during Black Friday?
Introduction
It is that time of year again! Time for some more amazing deals during the Thomann Cyber Week! I have gone through the list and picked out the best deals and also the best gear! It is a good list this year with a wide range of products! If you want to search the entire line of products for yourself, you can use the link at the bottom of the page!
As always, all the links in this article will be affiliate links. So buying something through one of these links won’t cost you any extra but will give me a small commission. It is a great way to help support the site if you need to pick up something!
So let me dive straight into our first selection! It is a killer one and I bet these are going to sell out fairly quickly at this price!
Epiphone Dave Grohl DG-335 Pelham Blue
We all love a bit of Foo Fighters, and the 335 Dave Grohl plays is so iconic! However, the full-fat Gibson model is very pricey and hard to come by; however, Gibson has put out an Epiphone version! More affordable but retaining most of the quality!
The Epiphone DG-335 is loaded with Gibson USA burst buckers, so you will be getting full Gibson tones from your pickups!
Epiphone have smashed it when finding the line between quality and price! They have merged a 335 and the original Trini Lopez perfectly to bring you a guitar that is iconic and amazing to play!
Be warned, a 335-shaped guitar is always bigger than you think. If you are after a small and compact guitar (like a Telecaster), then the 335 might not be the one for you; a 345 might be a better option.
Boss Katana Mini X Blue LTD
After the perfect home practice amp? Look no further than the Boss Katana Mini X! This recent release expands on the already perfect Boss Katana Mini (Review Here). Bringing you the updated Katana firmware and sounds in a 10W mini amplifier.
Containing six amp types (three amp with a variation switch on each), you are sure to be able to find a sound that is perfect for you.
The Boss Katana Mini X contains a whole host of effects and reverbs that allow you to build up bigger sounds than you could on the previous model!
With the helpful built-in tuner and the ability to stream music to it, you will be able to jam away to your backing track with some insane tones while keeping the volume low!
Hate to be that guy, but the only downfall of the Boss Katana Mini X is the built-in rechargeable battery! I hope that you can get them replaced and/or swap them out; otherwise, once the battery dies, you are left with a 0-watt paperweight.
"I understand that some gigs won't and don't require it, but some gigs it can be a lifesaver!"
Behringer Powerplay P2
I have spoken about the Behringer PowerPlay P2 before in our series about In-Ear Monitoring! If you are after an easy, simple, and mega-affordable way to get into IEMs, then this is it! Grab on for these, throw them in your gig bag with some headphones, and you are set!
If you arrive at a gig and want to use IEMs, all you have to do is get an XLR output from the desk, plug it in, and away you go! The audio from this device is crystal clean, and being made out of metal, it is super durable and hard-wearing! Minimal controls and buttons mean there is not a lot to go wrong!
Word of warning, the PowerPlay P2 can get loud! Every time you switch it on, make sure to keep the volume low and bring it up slowly!
I think everyone should experience IEMs! I understand that some gigs won’t and don’t require it, but some gigs it can be a lifesaver! For example, if you are playing on a larger stage!
Tone King Imperial Tri-Tube Preamp
After a great direct to desk solution? Well, Tone King have entered the game! Tone King make insane amps! High quality and amazing sounding amps however, they have decided to give the Pedalboard friendly Preamp game a go!
The Imperial Tri-Tube Preamp is a feature packed pedal with multiple channels, Tremolo and a whole load of other features you would expect from a device like this, however, it also has the tone and quality you would expect from Tone City in one of their amps!
As far as Direct to Desk options, this isn’t the cheapest option! If you are after that Tone King sound then I don’t think you will find anything else that can do that Fender/Tone City clean and overdriven sound.
Behringer X Air XR16
Looking to move your band into an IEM system? Well, this is the perfect budget option! The Behringer X Air XR16 is a 16-input digital mixer that has four aux sends, allowing you to have up to four individual mixes! All this while being controlled with your phone or tablet! Perfect for smaller bands!
I use the XR18 in my band, and it just works perfectly! Pair it with the above Behringer PowerPlay P2, and you will have a fully digital and self-service IEM system for a very affordable budget!
If you are looking to grab one of these, I would highly recommend you pick up an external router for it! When using the internal router, you may experience dropout at busy venues! Grab yourself a 5G router, and you will be just fine!
Conclusion
So that is my top picks from Thomann Cyber Week 2025! I think Thomann put some incredible offers on this year! Some great bargains! Lots of gear that you might have wanted to try but didn’t want to pay full price, like the Behringer XR16!
