5 more UK Guitar Brands – 5 more Companies you SHOULD check out!
Introduction
Back in early 2025, I put out an article on 10 UK Guitar Brands I thought you should all check out! That article proved to be very popular, so I decided to do a small follow-up and cover 5 more companies and brands I believe everyone should know about and explore. The whole point of this site and channel has always been to support smaller UK Guitar Brands, so in between the reviews and articles I like to highlight various companies I’ve come across and met. Most of the brands and people mentioned in this article I know personally, and over time I’ve built friendships with them – which makes me want to help them out in the best way I can!
There will be a mix of builders, shops, and other companies in this UK Guitar Brands article. It isn’t all about guitar builders! Just like the previous article, this one will feature a variety of companies, shops, and brands. So why don’t we dive straight into the first one – which happens to be a guitar strap brand!
Lost Soul Leather
If you are after leather goods, then look no further than Lost Soul Leather! The quality is outstanding, and the craftsmanship is second to none. How do I know? I own one of their straps (and have another one on the way). They produce everything from coin trays and coasters to premium guitar straps. Of course, everything is handmade to the very highest quality – and believe me, it really shows when the product arrives!
If you are looking for a guitar strap, make sure to check out their website. They have a wide range of straps featuring different designs, styles, and build types. I also love that you can customise your strap – from the leather colours and thread colours to the buckle finish. The attention to detail is incredible, and the end result is worth every penny!
If you haven’t read my full article on Lost Soul Leather, you can check it out here. In that review, we go through a few products they sent over, as well as the custom guitar strap I personally ordered from them. I highly rate their straps and leather goods, and they are definitely worth a look if you want a high-quality strap from a standout UK Guitar Brand.
"which is incredibly affordable for a custom guitar! On top of that, you can customise just about everything"
Soundlad Liverpool
Soundlad Liverpool is a new company that I had the chance to work with this year! I had been following their page for a while and loved what they were creating and sharing. Soundlad Liverpool is an incredible pedal manufacturer based in Liverpool (obviously!) and they are producing some truly unique and killer pedals. They excel in every part of the process – from design and build quality to the sounds and tones.
The whole operation is run by one person, who designs, programs, builds, and assembles every pedal by hand. He even handles the shipping and customer support himself! As you can probably tell, he is insanely clever and knowledgeable – something I’ve always admired about pedal builders.
We reviewed the Clean Machine, and what a killer pedal it was (Full Review Here). But Soundlad Liverpool offers several other pedals, all with the same high quality and inspiring tones. You can check out their full range of pedals on their website using the link below!
Maybury Guitars
I’ve known Jason for a while now – we first met at a guitar show, and I still frequently see and speak to him. He is actually one of the first UK Guitar Brands I connected with! I’ve always admired his guitar (and bass) builds. In fact, we have already reviewed one of his instruments for the site (Full Review Here). Maybury Guitars aren’t just another custom guitar company – they stand out by using a wide variety of woods to create guitars that pay homage to the classics, but with their own twist and modern features.
Of course, prices can vary a lot with custom builds, but Maybury Guitars typically start around the £1k mark – which is incredibly affordable for a custom guitar! On top of that, you can customise just about everything: colour, pickups, woods, scale length, and more. You’ll end up with a guitar truly built for you, without the sky-high price tag.
I definitely need to feature another Maybury guitar on the site for review soon! With so many designs and shapes available, I’ll have plenty to choose from. If you’d like to find out more, you can check out their website below.
"You can pick up one of his kits and have 80% of the work already done for you."
Home Of Tone
James didn’t set up Home of Tone to rewrite the rules on running a guitar shop – he did it to write his own book (quote from his website). He sells guitar gear and parts that he has carefully selected, focusing on brands he is passionate about – most of which are local and small UK Guitar Brands! I’ve met and spoken to James a few times, and he has always been super friendly.
James has built an incredible company with Home of Tone, providing a variety of gear to guitarists. However, the highlight of the site has to be his pre-wired harnesses for guitars! If you want to swap out pickups and upgrade components without worrying about the wiring, you can pick up one of his kits and have 80% of the work already done for you. They’re priced fairly and he offers harnesses for most guitars out there.
Be sure to check out his website – whether you’re after gear, parts, or even guitars, he has a huge range available. Follow the link below to explore everything Home of Tone has to offer!
Guitarbitz
Guitarbitz is a local guitar shop in the South West of England! This kind of shop is a dying breed – a good, honest guitar shop that doesn’t aim to rip you off, but instead helps you find the best gear for your needs. I love that! I love this shop! Not only do they sell amazing products at great prices, but I’ve also become good friends with the staff. They are a true local guitar and music shop, stocking a wide range of gear from affordable guitars all the way up to Gibsons and high-end Fenders!
Guitarbitz really feels like a proper “mom and pop” shop, with a friendly and welcoming vibe. Any question you have will be answered! If you’re in the Bath area of the UK, I would 100% recommend checking it out. The shop spans three floors of guitar gear (and more). They also have an online store, but I highly recommend visiting in person for the full experience.
Conclusion
So that’s a quick article covering a few UK Guitar Brands I think you should all check out! These brands and companies not only make amazing products and provide outstanding service, but they are also all super friendly and contribute such a warm and welcoming atmosphere to the guitar community. So if you’re after anything that these companies offer, please check them out!
None of the companies mentioned in this article knew I was writing it! I haven’t received anything in exchange for mentioning them. I have worked with some of them in the past, but this article was purely to highlight some amazing people who make and do incredible things.
Are there any UK Guitar Brands we’ve missed? Can you think of any brands that should have been included but weren’t? Drop us a comment on the post and let us know!
